Bradley W. Greider M.D., M.S., FACS has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in north coastal San Diego County for over 20 years. He is one of the most experienced cataract surgeons in California having performed over 20,000 cataract and lens implant surgeries. Dr. Greider's lens implants can correct astigmatism and decrease dependence on glasses post operatively. Dr. Greider enjoys a reputation of surgical excellence and trust, and has performed surgery on ophthalmologists, optometrists, physicians, senators, judges, generals, and their families. His surgical expertise extends beyond cataract surgery and he routinely performs ophthalmic plastic surgery, corneal/refractive surgery and glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Greider is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Greider earned his Bachelors degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied chemistry and molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. He continued his studies at Stanford University School of Medicine where he became involved in cancer research, which culminated in his Master's degree in biology. He stayed on at Stanford University School of Medicine to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. He received his residency training in ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, one of the most respected ophthalmic institutions in the world. After residency, he moved to San Diego to open his practice and raise his family.
